Nordic white ash logged in North America offers an interesting knot-free wood structure. Ecological, durable and dimensionally stable wood. Ash thermowood is especially suitable for the construction of wooden decking. Thermowood ash is highly resistant to mold with exceptional durability, incomparable stability and a beautiful rich color.
DESCRIPTION:
Thermo ash is produced at a temperature of 180 - 212 ° C by a computer-controlled method in a special furnace, where thermo treatment takes place. This process uses only heat and steam. This process of heat treatment, changes every fibre down to the core. The thermally treated ash has an exotic brown colour. The colour differences between individual boards are natural but some colour differences can be very marked. The double endless joint on the transverse side of the boards allows for easy and quick assembly and minimal pruning or significant material savings. Tongue and groove is milled on the longitudinal sides. This profile allows for both vertical and horizontal installation directions. The material is delivered in bundles packed in foil.
Ecology:
No chemicals of any kind are used in the various processing operations.

Durability:
Heat treatment increases the weather resistance of the wood, preventing rot and fungal infestation.

Dimensional stability:
The susceptibility of the wood to deformation or swelling and subsequent shrinkage is reduced by up to 60 %. Humidity fluctuations are essentially stopped due to the heat treatment.

Wood density: approx. 660 kg/m3
Coating and colour:
If you decide to treat the thermally treated wood on the cladding with a paint to preserve the wood without the typical grey patina that appears on wood without treatment for about 1 year after exposure to the weather, we recommend using OSMO products.
The natural light greying after almost six months of exposure to the weather in untreated wood is normal and does not affect quality or durability.

Please note in particular that when preparing the grid, the axial distance between the base grates must be a maximum of 40 cm with a board thickness of 20 mm.
For Thermo ash it is particularly important to use non-corrosive fasteners for the external structures. The screw holes for Thermo Ash wood must be pre-drilled.
PLEASE NOTE: Thermo ash cladding with PD will only be removed subject to acceptance of 20% delivery in lengths of 1 - 2 m and 80% delivery in lengths of 2 m+.
The goods are packed in bundles in contesting lengths and can only be removed in these bundles.
