The exotic wood retains its durability due to the large amount of stored oily content. These contained substances partially seep to the surface during the first phase of exposure to weather conditions and can be washed away by rain. Leached tannins can cause colour stains on building materials - plaster, brick, stone. In this connection, other structural components should be protected accordingly /plaster, tiles.../, as any substance contained can only be removed with great difficulty or not at all.
The joists are made of laminated slats of one type of Bangkirai wood that are glued together.
Note: the joists are glued vertically. Recommended for indoor use - in conservatories, as view joists in roofed pergolas or in outdoor covered areas (covered decking).
