Thermo pine joists are dimensionally stable, durable and completely ecological. Available in A / B / C classification.
Thermo wood supplied by us is produced by the WTT method, which uses heat treatment of wood at 180 ° C.
No chemicals are used at all during the heat treatment. To start the process only a little water is needed . The rest takes place due to the gradual increase of the temperature inside the pressurized chamber (using a pressure of 7 to 9 bar). Gradual heating of the wood releases moisture and creates an environment full of steam, which ensures even coloration and treatment of the wood. Thanks to this process, the wood is completely harmless to the environment and does not endanger the surrounding fauna or flora.
Before the actual thermo treatment, the wood is pre-dried to 12-14% moisture content. An important part of the WTT process is that the wood is never dried to 0% during treatment. On the contrary, the residual moisture level remains at 6-8%. This wood moisture is the ultimate for Thermo wood. Modern technology controls the entire process and even treatment in the entire cross-section is guaranteed. Thanks to this treatment, the pine changes its original natural light yellow shade to a natural slightly darker color.
The wood acquires significantly improved dimensional stability, so it reduces the susceptibility of the wood to deformation (swelling and subsequent shrinkage of wood). Dimensional changes are eliminated by up to 60%.
Wood shows increased resistance to rot and mold and at the same time improved insulating capability. The wooden underconstruction made of timber joists must be well measured, so that it can withstand deformation and does not lift when swelling and shrinking during the year.
