Teak comes from Indonesia, Burma and also grows in India, Thailand. It also spread to Malaysia, Borneo, Philippines, tropical Africa and Central America. Teak flooring is the right choice for all who prefer durable exotic wood.
Teak has a narrow, light yellow-brown sapwood and dark golden-brown core that darkens to medium or dark brown in the air on the surface.
Teak has a more vibrant structure, a more extensive range of colors, and a diverse structure.
Teak has a dry density of 610 to 690 kg / m 3, an average of 640 kg / m3. It dries slowly and has excellent stability in use. Teak has a medium flexural strength, low rigidity, and impact toughness, high compressive strength and is moderately suitable for bending. Woodworking is easy. Floor panels are designed for installation by full-area gluing. After laying, it is necessary to sand the surface all over with a grain of sandpaper 150.
For full-surface bonding, we recommend using KIESEL BAKIT PU-P polyurethane adhesive. It ensures that not even very oily wood such as Teak does not break away from the substrate during use and the adhesion is not impaired.
