Garapa is a light yellow-brown wood that partially darkens to a medium brown colour when exposed to air. Garapa has a predominantly straight grain. The colour differences between the individual joists are natural, but not significant. The wood is very durable and resistant due to its high density and the high content of substances in the wood. This makes it an ideal choice as an underconstruction under exotic wood decking.

Surface treatment:
Garapa underconstruction does not need a surface treatment before installation. To reduce the risk of side-cracking, it is recommended that all transverse cuts are coated with Osmo End Grain Sealing Wax 5735.
