ANGELIM AMARGOSO - EXOTIC WOODEN UNDERCONSTRUCTION

Density: 750-800 kg/m3
Recommended use: suitable for medium hardwood decking (e.g. Garapa, Tatajuba, Teak, Bukit, Merbau, etc.). Not recommended for heavy hardwood decking (Massaranduba, Bangkirai, Ipe).

The exotic wood retains its durability due to the large amount of oil content stored. These contained substances partially seep to the surface during the first phase of exposure to weather conditions and can be washed away by rain. Leached tannins can cause colour stains on building materials - plaster, brick, stone. Because of this, other construction materials should be protected accordingly /plaster, tiles.../, as any substance contained can only be removed with great difficulty or not at all. Timber installed on terraces or balconies where this contact may occur must be used so that the water running off the timber is drained off through gutters and rain gutters. Occasionaly, a rotational growth occurs. This must be accepted as it is part of the natural characteristics of wood. The joists must be immediately installed on the pre-prepared underconstruction for the future terrace as soon as they are released from the transport straps. The wooden underconstruction must be installed in a way which can withstand deformation and movement when swelling and shrinking during the year.
