ABACHI - WOOD DESCRIPTION:
Abachi wood is a suitable material for saunas due to several unique properties. It is valued for its low weight, which makes it easy to handle. The wood has a light, almost white color and shows little color variability. The heartwood is freshly whitish to creamy yellow, after exposure to light it turns into a golden yellow shade. There is no significant difference between sapwood and heartwood. The color and quality of abachi can vary depending on its origin. Large individual blood vessels, scattered parenchymatous tissue are visible on the cross section and a layered structure on the tangential section. The wood fiber is straight to cross-woven. The cross-woven creates weak to relatively pronounced striations on the radial surface. The main property of abachi is its low thermal conductivity and there is no significant heating into the depth of the wood. Its main advantage is not only that the abachi bench cannot heat up to the ambient temperature (for example, a hot sauna), but above all that it very quickly takes on the body temperature of the person sitting on it. Abachi has excellent thermal insulation properties (when the temperature in the sauna is 90–110 °C, the surface temperature of the abachi bench does not exceed 40 °C). The surface remains pleasant even at high temperatures in the sauna and does not burn the skin.

STS 4 profile. These are boards with a classic tongue-and-groove joint, but profiled in such a way that they fit together to create visible shadow grooves with beveled edges.
This type of board is designed to visually eliminate the natural shape changes of the wood due to changes in humidity.
The fine lines between the boards create a modern look and look very discreet.
