Whitewood yellowish-white to reddish-white, core wood reddish-brown to dark reddish-brown. Siberian larch is one of the most valuable and durable species among coniferous wood species. Its contained resin repels water as a natural impregnation and protects wood against fungal attack. Siberian larch is harder than European because of its slow growth in cold regions.
